Blair Henike and Kristy Costa each established new meet records to lead the women’s team to a third place finish in the eight-team field. Costa took second discus on the day as well. Following Costa’s effort in the Javelin was her basketball teammate, Jacqueline Pundt.

03/29/2003 Bridgewater Invitational

Kristy Costa won the Javelin for the second time in as many competitions this spring. Costa’s throw of 113'04" led a McDaniel sweep of the event. She was followed by Jacqueline Pundt, who took second place, and Megan Grimshaw, who took third. Costa also won the discus, ran the first leg of the winning 4x400 relay team, turning in the fastest split, and took second in the high jump to round out her afternoon.

Kristy Costa won the Javelin and the high jump, and ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay team along with Johnson, Melissa Merson, and Kellie Pfeiffer.

04/05/2003 Gettysburg Invitational

Freshman, Kristy Costa, continued to shine on the women’s side, picking up several wins and setting a new school record this afternoon. She led the Green Terror women’s team to a second place finish in the six-team meet. Costa’s Javelin throw of 122’2.2” set a new school mark in the event, four inches better than the previous record. The win marks the fourth time in as many meets that Costa has won the javelin. She also took first place in the high jump with a 4’8” effort.

04/12/2003 Bison Outdoor Classic

Kristy Costa grabbed fifth place in the discus with a 37.95-meter effort. Her throw sets a new school record in the discus of 124'2". The old record stood at 116'2.5"
